A reusable ribbon of cloth is fed between the punch and the powder to assist air removal and to stop the powder sticking to the punch. The cloth is manually wound on after a few pressings. OPERATION - An empty godet is placed into the tooling die which is then filled with powder.
- The die is located in the anvil of the press, the ram release valve closed and the press operated by the lever at the front until the desired pressure shows on the gauge.
- The ram release valve opened, the die removed and the finished pressing removed.
